Church Road

Church Road has been open since September 2019 and is hailed as a “destination for foodies”.  Sister restaurant to Michelin-starred Elystan Street and Kitchen W8, owners Rebecca Mascarenhas and Phil Howard are very attached to Church Road, not least because they’re local and spend a lot of time there.

With Nick Donnelley at the stoves, working in close communion with Phil, the food here is uncomplicated and hard to resist.  There are a few alfresco tables out the front for the warm days and a private room seating  up to 20 people for parties with friends and family.

Church Road’s food is simple, harmonious and flavoursome.  Nick’s focus is on British seasonal produce – local where available – some foraged, some farm grown, some wild. Vibrant spring and summer fruit and vegetables; earthy and powerful autumn and winter fare dominate the menu. Also featuring are MSC-certified line-caught and sustainably farmed fish and shellfish, grass fed, fully traceable free range meat sourced from British farms with proven track records of meticulous animal husbandry, hand-made dairy products, amongst others. Daily deliveries have been cut down to reduce the damaging environmental effect. With all their food, the team is determined to show consideration to the welfare of the world in which we live and the animals that we share it with… in a nutshell, Church Road is treading lightly on the planet.
