A short hop away, in fact about 15 minutes from both, in the unspoilt hamlet of Thornton Hough in beautiful Wirral countryside is Thornton Hall Hotel. Their on-site Restaurant is the fine dining restaurant of the hotel and it has built itself a fine reputation as a real foodie haunt over many years now.
The menu focus is on seasonality and clarity of flavour, using the freshest produce, cooked in a sympathetic manner to showcase the food in the best possible way. Try starters such as Chicken Liver Parfait, Raviolo or Wirral Watercress and Potato Velouté. The Restaurant is where you can also tuck into mains such as sirloin steak, Dover Sole a la Meuniere or Halibut. They also have an extensive dessert list that will be sure to tickle your taste buds and leave you wanting more. Not to mention their complete wine list, which has been hand-selected to make sure you have the perfect pairing for each course.
