The Hollist Arms
Petworth, West Sussex
Overview
The Hollist Arms, Lodsworth is a quintessential countryside inn and hub of the local community. Opening under the guidance of new Landlord Angus Davies, The Hollist Arms prides itself on serving thoughtful renditions of classic dishes made from carefully sourced ingredients, with a pinch of continental know how. There is an empahsis on uncomplicated, but exquisitely executed food. The menu is constantly evolving focusing on delivering reassuringly recognisable British food.
Led by Head Chef Jesse Bryson, who has been cooking in London for over ten years in some of the capital's best restaurants including Moro, St John Bread & Wine, Noble Rot & most recently Michelin starred Leroy. The kitchen will be offering up an a la carte menu in the tented area with decor from Nikki Tibbles' Wild by Heart.
Inside the pub, keen home cooks might recognise artwork by celebrated local watercolourist Michael Frith, as the Hollist provides a temporary space in which to display artwork featured in Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's 'River Cottage A to Z: Our favourite ingredients, & How to Cook Them'.
