Overview

Fifty Two is Rudding Park’s intimate, garden-led dining room, where the boundary between kitchen and table disappears. Designed as an immersive experience, the space centres on an open kitchen and the estate’s Kitchen Garden, with Chef-Host Adam leading guests through a spontaneous, ingredient-driven tasting journey.

There is no printed menu; instead, each evening unfolds as a series of finely crafted plates shaped by what the garden and local producers offer at their best. Expect a relaxed rhythm: a welcome drink on the terrace, a possible wander through the garden, then a progression of snacks, bread, seasonal dishes, desserts and petits fours.

The atmosphere is deliberately warm and sociable. Aprons await those curious to step closer to the cooking, cards on the tables encourage conversation, and a playful “dessert island disc” invites each guest to contribute a track to the evening’s playlist.

With just a handful of tables and unobstructed views of the kitchen, Fifty Two offers a rare blend of theatre, generosity and quietly polished Yorkshire hospitality.

Opening hours

Arrival drinks at 7pm with dinner served at 7.15pm from Wednesday to Saturday and arrival drinks at 6pm with dinner served at 6.15pm on Sunday.
