Overview
Cornus, a new Modern European rooftop restaurant in Belgravia, comes with an impressive pedigree. The team behind it includes David O’Connor and Joe Mercer Nairne from Chelsea’s renowned Medlar, along with Executive Chef Gary Foulkes, formerly of the Michelin-starred Angler.
Foulkes’ menu blends traditional French culinary techniques with the finest British and European ingredients, while also incorporating flavours inspired by his global travels. The resulting fusion includes starters like sea bass tartare with oyster cream, green apple, and shiso, followed by inventive Modern British dishes such as Lake District lamb with Romero pepper piperade, lamb kofte, capers, and olives.
Cornus is perched on the rooftop of the Ice Factory, a former ice production facility at Eccleston Yards in Belgravia. The restaurant offers stunning floor-to-ceiling views of the London skyline, framed by sheer curtains. Inside, the panoramic vista is complemented by soft green and pink interiors.
