The Island Quarter in Nottingham is not quite St Catherine’s Dock – it’s too spacious and green for that. But it is its own chilled version of it – a regeneration project of Nottingham’s iconic canal side; one that celebrates the city’s rich industrial heritage, and one of the largest urban regeneration sites in the UK.

It is the place to come for a modernist take on Victorian industrial splendour with clean and simple design. The centrepiece is Cleaver & Wake, the first restaurant to open at The Island Quarter and a modern fine dining destination in its own right.

A gastronomic gem for contemporary dining, it offers a menu bursting with delicious seasonal dishes that showcases his distinctive style and confident cooking. The dining is elegant and informal, dominated by an open kitchen – inviting diners to feel part of a theatrical-like experience.  The lunch and dinner menus sparkle with eye-catching dishes and bold pairings, changed regularly to reflect the best seasonal produce form across the British Isles and high-quality home-grown ingredients. There’s also a relaxed bar featuring showstopping cocktails/ mocktails with champagnes, distinctive range of wines and beers, and an extensive collection of spirits.
