Woven by Adam Smith at Coworth Park
Ascot, Berkshire
Overview
We are delighted to announce that Woven by Adam Smith has recieved 5 AA Rosettes:
"Surrounded by 240 acres of beautifully landscaped parkland including private polo lawns, Woven by Adam Smith is set within Coworth Park, a Georgian mansion sitting amidst wildflower meadows. It’s a splendid place, all high ceilings and period detail, and a revamp of the restaurant finally put the chef’s name above the door in 2023. Inspired by nature, the dining room is a luxurious space decorated in soothing autumnal shades of apricot and gold, with bespoke art including a fabulous plaster relief of root vegetables. This is quite a theatrical experience; you can see the snacks you’ll be served at the beginning of your meal being prepared as you arrive, and downlights over each black-topped table make sure your attention is fully focused on the food. The seasonal menu is an entrancing experience, where dishes tell a story using top produce and reflect great attention to detail. The staff are seriously great, extremely knowledgeable and offer relaxed, slick service. The creative and contemporary cooking is up there with the very best in the country, with classic techniques and flavours underpinning every dish. The snacks you saw as you arrived are truly delightful mouthfuls to get you in the mood – perhaps a stunning truffle potato tart, prawn custard and caviar or an ingenious take on a classic cheese and ham sandwich. Breads are wonderful, too, and a spring menu might begin with a vibrant dish of super fresh Cornish crab, citrussy kalamansi, crunchy radish and perfectly balanced and aromatic Thai green dressing. A main course of perfectly timed, pink and tender Yorkshire lamb is paired with morel, baby gem and sweetbread. Finally, a signature dessert brings an irresistible and indulgent combination of chocolate, sea salt, crème fraîche and cocoa nibs. The wine list is impressive, with a good range by the glass." - AA Inspector
