Overview

190 Queen’s Gate, the refined restaurant of The Gore London, combines the English culinary tradition with contemporary flavours to offer a luxury fine-dining experience.

A neighbour of the Royal Albert Hall, 190 Queen’s Gate is ideally situated for pre-theatre dining before the curtain rises on stage. On Sundays, savour a relaxing day and settle in to the cosy surroundings to indulge in the iconic British tradition of Sunday Lunch. Its menus evolve throughout the year to capitalise on and celebrate seasonal and high-quality British produce sourced from the surrounding counties.

With an extensive (and growing) English wine list, 190 Queen’s Gate is a leading destination in London championing English wine. Partners of Wine GB and Highweald, the West Sussex-based wine estate, the restaurant is a pioneer in the industry.

Former National Chef of the Year, Frederick Forster, presides as Head Chef at 190 Queen's Gate. Having trained under Pierre Gagnaire as a Roux Scholar before receiving numerous awards including Chef of the Year 2011 and Master of Culinary Arts 2013, Frederick is also known for his professional appearances on TV. His experience has shaped his style to highlight fresh and seasonal English produce cooked simply and elegantly.

Founded as a hotel in 1892, The Gore combines the familiar intimacy of a London club with the impeccable service of a luxury hotel. Evoking a timeless English charm with its classic décor, the iconic venue has been providing guests with understated elegance and enchanting memories for over 130 years.

The Gore’s legacy extends to the renowned Bar 190, located next door to 190 Queen’s Gate. It offers a brooding elegance for soirees or post-theatre drinks, and is famous for being the location of The Rolling Stones Beggars Banquet album launch in 1968.
