Dining in the restaurant is a truly enjoyable experience. Menus showcase quality Scottish ingredients predominantly grown in their own kitchen garden, foraged or sourced from local suppliers. The chef is creative and his daily changing menus showcase the exceptional local seasonal produce through classical dishes presented with a modern and personal touch.
A little history : Set within two acres of private, landscaped grounds, Windlestraw was originally built in 1906, as a wedding gift for the future wife of the Scottish cashmere mill owner, John King Ballantyne.
