Windlestraw is an independently-owned small luxury hotel overlooking the picturesque Tweed Valley in the stunning Scottish Borders. A magnificent Edwardian manor set in three acres of landscaped grounds, award-winning Windlestraw offers 5 star gold accommodation and an intimate three AA rosette dining experience. This unique offering of luxury facilities and personal service makes for a truly unique destination and the perfect getaway.

Dining in the restaurant is a truly enjoyable experience. Menus showcase quality Scottish ingredients predominantly grown in their own kitchen garden, foraged or sourced from local suppliers. The chef is creative and his daily changing menus showcase the exceptional local seasonal produce through classical dishes presented with a modern and personal touch.

A little history : Set within two acres of private, landscaped grounds, Windlestraw was originally built in 1906, as a wedding gift for the future wife of the Scottish cashmere mill owner, John King Ballantyne.
