Overview
Chef Sally Abé’s eagerly anticipated new restaurant at the Conrad London St James. As one of the Capital’s most talented and awarded chefs, Sally’s impact on the London food scene has reached new heights at The Pem.
The prominent suffragette, Emily Wilding Davison, was affectionately nicknamed ‘Pem’ by her close family, and well known for the incredible impact she made toward equal rights for women in the UK. What does a suffragette have to do with this restaurant? Dedication. Commitment. Passion. Care. All of these things Emily Davison embodied, and all of these things are take incredibly seriously when it comes to food. Every element of every dish prepared has been carefully considered and selected before it reaches your plate.
The menu at The Pem displays an elevated style of the food that Sally has become renowned for; a depth of flavour and culinary excellence that is more refined, more considered, and more sophisticated – yet still retains the fun and liveliness that Sally’s guests have come to know and love. Sally builds on the foundations of historic British cuisine and celebrating flavours and ingredients that are familiar and much-loved but interpreting them in her own way.
