The Astor Grill at Cliveden
Hawksmoor Manchester
Hawksmoor Knightsbridge
Knightsbridge, London - South West
Overview
Hawksmoor Knightsbridge was Will Beckett and Huw Gott's first West London restaurant with glamorous 1930's interior and a menu revolving around steaks from ethically-reared native breed cattle and sustainable seafood from around the British coast.
The Art Deco interior takes its cue from the 1930's building the restaurant is situated in. Brass arched windows in grey and amber glass are the main feature of the restaurant, alongside a visible wine room, an open kitchen pass and reclaimed oak flooring from a Blackpool ballroom dancehall. Grey leather banquettes and chairs and Art Deco brass lamps mounted on grey marble running along the middle of the room complete the restaurant interior.
The menu, apart from featuring signature 'dictionary-thick' steaks, including the enormous, 1.6kg Tomahawks, has been inspired by recent travels. Mitch Tonks, a frequent Hawksmoor collaborator, has helped perfect a number of the new seafood dishes and Wine Manager Mark Quick's list features a selection to perfectly complement the seafood and shellfish on the menu.
