  1. As an adult who has no wish to deal with noisy messy children and their entitled oblivious parents at nice restaurants, I will avoid all of these!
Really, there should be restaurants that do NOT cater to babies, toddlers, or children under age 16 AT ALL.
If we are paying 75 pounds or more per person for a good meal, what we want is quiet uninterrupted luxury. And that is what we should get.
Parents used to leave their children home with babysitters when they went out to nice restaurants to dine. Those were the days when respect and consideration for other guests mattered. It should still matter.
You can have a Michelin star meal ruined by a restless child within squalling, fussing, noisy, distance. No thanks.

    1. Thanks so much for your comment. We understand that not all diners appreciate children in restaurants (especially badly behaved ones) but as this is one of our most popular blog posts we also recognise the need to recommend family friendly dining. We will look into a blog post that also recommends restaurants with set family dining periods/age restrictions as a counterbalance!
