You won’t need bat or ball at this fragrant Chinese restaurant within the Crowne Plaza. The eccentric name is in honour of the national team (launched in 2009, the year the restaurant opened), but that’s where the cricket ends. The true focus is on a dazzling array of succulent menus that take a whistle-stop tour of the country’s cuisine, from Szechuan pork belly and dry-fried lamb to Cantonese prawn har gao, honey-glazed pork puffs and Shanghai noodles. A joyful experience all round.
