Viewers of MasterChef were in for a super treat last night when contestants were thrown into a busy lunchtime service at Great Taste at the Cadogan – under the professional eye of Head Chef Oliver Lesnik.
The three budding chef’s were each given a dish to prepare. Olly had Grey Mullet, Tagliatelle with Beer Poached Clams and a Wild Fennel Puree which he handled very well. Rory was handed the Beer Braised Ox Cheek with Horse Raddish Mash and Heritage Carrots and Cabbage which he round very tricky to get right. And Rukmini was put in charge of the Pan Roasted Chicken Breast, Potato Terrine and Butternut Squash Puree. Oliver’s calm approach and advice “panicking will get you nowhere” was taken on board by two of the chef’s but unfortunately Rory failed to impress and was eliminated. The dishes looked incredibly enticing and were a great showcase for the amazing talents of Oliver Lesnik.
