The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2014 sponsored by San Pellegrino & Acqua Panna

29th Apr 2014

worlds50logo-w5brNoma have reclaimed their place back at the top of the World’s Best list after their run was interrupted by Spanish rival El Celler de Can Roca. Head Chef Rene Redzepi said  “We didn’t expect it at all, we thought we had had our moment on this list. I know that for the team, this is the biggest moment.”

Two UK restaurants made the top 10 with Dinner by Heston Blumenthal placing at number 5 and Brett Graham’s The Ledbury coming in at number 10. Voted by 900 industry experts organised by Restaurant magazine, this list tends to polarise industry observers. Original editor Chandos Elletson says “Michelin is still the barometer that serious people judge restaurants. But from a bookings point of view, 50 Best is the leader.”
